About us

Derwent Valley Tidy Towns is a special committee of Council, made up of a small group of dedicated volunteers who put in hundreds of hours per year making sure our Derwent Valley stays the most beautiful place in the country!!

They do a wide variety of community work in the municipality such as picking up litter and hard rubbish (including tyres on the highways ) that’s been illegally dumped; they also have a graffiti register and remove and clean up places where graffiti spoils the pleasant look of the town.

Please contact us on our Derwent Valley Tidy Towns Facebook page or through Council if you:

  • would like to volunteer to help us keep the Derwent Valley beautiful or
  • want to report illegal rubbish dumping or graffiti that needs removal.
