Close to the entrance to New Norfolk, Tynwald Park is a very popular spot for picnics and barbecues. Locals and visitors alike can take advantage of the top-quality electric cooking facilities and sheltered places to eat all-year-round.
Used by various town team sporting clubs Tynwald Park is host to seasonal football, soccer and cricket matches as well as training sessions. There's an excellent bike track, walking circuit, cricket practice nets, children's educational bike track and fitness equipment.
The park is very close to the Tynwald Country Mansion that has played a major role in the history and development of New Norfolk. There are well maintained public toilets with disabled access and the park is also a start or end point for walks along the banks of the River Derwent.
