Vet in the Valley grew out of the need for ambulatory Equine and Veterinary Services within the Derwent Valley and Central Highlands.
Vet in the Valley was started by Dr Libby Cooper, a Derwent Valley local. Libby graduated from Charles Sturt University in 2013, and went straight into an intensive Equine Internship at Agnes Banks Equine Clinic in the Hawkesbury, NSW. She stayed on an ambulatory and reproductive vet, working on performance horses, races horse and the beloved family pet, before returning home in 2015. She lives on a property in Plenty, and often helps on her family beef cattle and sheep farm.
Vet in the Valley aims to treat your animal like their own, and Libby strives to offer her clients the service they desire and deserve. Libby takes An individual approach to long term care of each patient and Libby is dedicated to provide each client with enough information to make appropriate decisions regarding the health of your animal. Libby values relationships she has developed with clients and patients, with many of them becoming friends. Whether you have a newborn foal or an older companion, Libby aims to tailor each consultation to your specific needs.
